Omitting Facts Does Not Make A Truth

The following is my response in the daily news to another Democrat giving Bill Clinton credit for the great economy during his administration. What follows is another democrat commenting on my thoughts about Bill Clinton and comparing my beliefs about George Bush and the war to the Germans that believed in Hitler. It's a great example of the lunacy that cultivates their minds. Note how he even goes as far to blame george Bush for the trisection of Iraq which has been the structure of Iraq for 2000 years.

He doesn't even know that I'm not a republican nor do I think George Bush is God. I believe Bush has failed us on many levels but the war in Iraq has been an unfortunately a necessary one. It would be great if America could just pull out all of it's troops from around the world and let the evil and insane take over but it is a fact, we are the only country that takes on the responsibility of protecting ourselves and others from tyrany. If not for America, I would hate to see what would happen to the world. It took the U.S. to get involved in WW2 to end the war and it's going to take the U.S. to end terrorism. No one else seems to care or has the balls to do so. Thank God we don't listen to what the rest of the world thinks, if we did their would be no Jews at all.

Bill's economy

Re "Hillary" (Your Opinions, Feb. 8):

If I have to hear one more time how Bill Clinton's leadership was responsible for the budget surplus of his administration I'm going to cry. No one seems to notice the fact that the dot.com boom happened during the same time, bringing billions of dollars to people who could work with small Internet businesses, boosting the American economy from its stagnation.

It was not "Wild Bill" who accomplished this no more than it was Al Gore who invented the Internet. It was "Wild Bill" who was responsible for 12 deadly attacks on U.S. interests because of his complacency and nonreactive leadership. Say what you will about George Bush, but you can't deny that there have been no attacks on U.S. soil since 9-11.

Still Bill

Re Bill's economy" (Your Opinions, Feb. 14):

Today's "Highlights in History" details the day five years ago when the world rebuffed George W. Bush for not giving the United Nations weapons inspectors more time to find any WMD in Iraq. U.N. inspector Hans Blix could find nothing, despite Saddam Hussein's even opening his palaces to inspections.

So here we are today, with thousands of dead, Iraq ethnically cleansed and trisected, our nation diminished and our economy in turmoil, and Laurien DuTremble of Northridge is still singing the praises of George Bush and railing about Bill Clinton and Al Gore. I have often wondered why many Germans in the spring of 1945 continued to believe in Adolph Hitler. DuTremble offers a clue. a county that has been trisected for 2000 years.

This is in response to the idiotic comparison of George Bush and Adolph Hitler by Chuck Heinold

Once again a liberal democrat proves how void of fact they actually are. You will one day learn that omitting fact will not prove your point. It seems as many times that I've heard this stupid rant of "No Weapon's Of Mass Destruction" I have to respond with the following...

1. George Bush is not the only one that agreed Sadam had weapons of mass destruction and to think he would store them in his Palace is idiotic of you but nice of sadam to offer. Even your beloved Bill Clinton admitted that Sadam had weapons of mass destruction and we had intelligence reports by other countries that agreed.

2. Sadam played games with the inspection teams for months giving plenty of time for them to be transfered to Syria. To think hans Blix and a small team of researchers could even find cases filled with chemical weapons given the vast desert surrounding Bagdad is a joke. A briefcase full of
anthrax smuggled into the U.S.across our open borders would bring more mass destruction then anyone has witnessed in this country.

3. Weapons of mass destruction can be contained in something as small as a test tube, they didn't have to be stored in massive warehouses that could be easily found. Apparently you have no military history or you would know this.

4. You also are not aware of the U.N.'s mission after WW2 to stand against ethnic cleansing. Sadam poisoned (with weapon's of mass destruction) 200,000 kurds (Ethnic Cleansing) but yet you blame the U.S. and George Bush for this? The U.N. stood by and did nothing for years. The only ethnic cleansing going on in Iraq now is by various tribes against each other and I'm sorry to disappoint you, George bush is not over there leading them on.

My railing on Al Gore and Bill Clinton is fact though you Democrats love to avoid this nature of the conversation to make your point.

Adolph Hitler? Please! Read a book or two before you embarrass yourself to this degree. The fact is Sadam Hussein himself, responsible for 200,000 deaths was a weapon of mass destruction. He should have been stopped long before George Bush got into office. If you don't think our pulling out of Iraq will cause equally as large a number of deaths in ethnic cleansing your head needs to be examined for
Chinese lead poisoning.

You also blame George Bush for trisecting a country that has been trisected for 2000 years. You blame George Bush for so much that it would take a magician to be able to accomplish all you have given him credit for single handedly.

As far as the economy goes... blame the internet. Just as it brought jobs in the 90's it's taking them away just as fast. Piracy of music and movies is costing billions in lost tax revenue. No more need for duplictors, replicators, film labs, printing and shipping costs are cut into fractions. Studios going out of business as well as video rental companies and music stores. The Loss in jobs is staggering.

Blame corporate greed and the banking system for the failure of economics in this country. $800.00 hotel rooms, $150.00 pills form your pharmacy, 30% interest rates on credit cards, fraudulent late charges on bills that are paid on time with $180.00 fees for a $600.00 bill. $500.00 electric bills. $200.00 an hour for plumbers. All of this is eating away at the economy and your retirements. Cheap products made in China made not to last is bilking billions out of your savings accounts.

100 million in bonus's to the 5 top corporate executives of the Mortgage Industry for bankrupting their businesses. I could go on but you probably would rather invison George Bush waving a magic wand and making all of this happen. Just as stupid to think that george Bush is doing all of this is thinking Hillary or Obama will change it all.

"Masterminds" Of Terror

My wife and I bought airline tickets to Colorado and she realized when she was checking prices that it was cheaper and quicker to fly from LAX (Los Angeles) to Denver via Delta and then fly back by way of South West. So we bought one way tickets each way because they were from differnet airlines.

By now everyone knows that if you buy a one way ticket you are asking for trouble at the airport. Sure enough, when we walked up to security they checked our ID's, circled our tickets in red and marked us suspicious. That led to being walked into a glass cage and separating us from our carry-ons. Next came the body search with hands up and down the legs, back, torsoe and arms. Our carry-ons were then taken to a seperate area and searched for explosives as we sat and waited.

Now, the two of us look nothing like terrorists. I am full of tattoos and as far as I know this is strictly forbidden in the Islamo/Muslim world. My wife is blond, British and looks like Jessica Rabbit.

Don't get me wrong. I'm very happy about the extra security that will keep us all safe from a possible second terror attack in the air. What I don't understand is, if these people are truly the "Masterminds" the Govenrment and the News Agencies keep labeling them as, why after 7 years have they not figured out that they have to buy a round trip plane ticket to avoid the extra scrutiny? I mean they are Masterminds aren't they? Do you think by now they understand that they have to take flying lessons and learn how to take off as well as land?

Do you think by now they would bother to try an air strike again knowing they can just walk across the our open border with a nuclear suitcase bomb? Did anyone find the 7 that went missing when the Soviet Union tore down that wall? Just a thought or two to stimulate what ever is left of those brain cells that lead infested Chinese products haven't mangaed to kill.

Poster Child For The Democratic Party

Bill Maher is the poster child for Democratic Party. Just as the democrats have no real answers when asked for specifics for the change they so heavily promise, Bill Maher will have no show once Bush has left office. I don't know how many times I have tuned in to hear the same old line of , "No Weapons Of Mass Destruction". Without it, he would have no show.

Why do I listen? I think it's like going to the circus and paying to see the "Fat Lady" or the "Two Headed Goat". There is something about absurdity that's entertaining. Maher should spend more time reading the news than trolling at the Playboy Mansion to prepare for his show

Bill Clinton's Economy

I really wish the Democrats would stop crediting Bill Clinton for the prosperous years of the Clinton administration. If you really looked past their propaganda you would recognize the fact that it was the .com boom that created millions of jobs and took anyone with a little internet savy out of their low paying sales jobs. Many were able to create their own websites to generate money than their 9 to 5 and stay at home. Entrepueners were born overnight generating billions in new tax revenue and wages making the economy strong. People that normally would not be able to afford a first time home purchase did so with ease. The fact is, Bill Clinton was no more responsible for the booming 90's economy than Al Gore inventing the internet.

I've also hear how with Bill's administration we were at peace. They also omitt the fact that U.S. interests were attacked 12 times during the Clinton Administration because Bill was too busy playing with cigars and Monica to be bothered to take a stand against US attacks. This lacksidasical attitude emboldened our enemies making them think we didn't have the guts to fight, thus causing 9/11. Bill even had the chance to get Osama and passed. Say what you will and hate the man for whatever reason you can dream up but one thing can't be denied. We have not had an attack on American soil in 7 years and even Osama himself admitted it's beacause Al Queda's resources are stretched too thin fighting in Iraq. What ever makes you think that freedom is free? Freedom has consistantly cost American lives and will continue to do so as long as there are people out there that want to harm us. Obama can talk all he wants about how much money is being spent in Iraq and that the money should be spent here but without
defending the interests of the U.S. there will be no "here". A more experienced statesman would no this and that's what makes him dangerous to the safety of all Americans.

All Bill really accomplished during his administration was to defile the office of the Presidency
and the White House. Another Clinton in the White House? No Thanks.

Now the country is excited to elect a man with no experience as Commander In Cheif of the Armed Forces Of The United States during a time of war? You so hate Bush that you are willing to settle for this? You hate a man that has protected you inspite of the polls and your own ignorance? Not surprising, since the most well known case in history of this sort of hatred was the Crucifiction of Christ.

In Novenber, remember one thing and one thing only... Who would Al Queda want elected?

Illegal Immigration Destruction

First , let me say that our gardener is legally here. There does seem to be a misconception about how much money they make. He is on my property once a week. He doesn't trim anything above his shoulders and refuses to pick up doggy do. He has to constantly be told to trim the hedges. The time he spends at my house is about 10 minutes and he charges $20.00 for that 10 minutes. Let's do the math. If you mutiplied that 10 minutes times 6, it's an hour. 60 minutes. Lets mulitply $20.00 times 6 and you get an astounding $120.00 an hour. We've tried various gardeners and they are all the same. They are actually making more than your kid makes with a college degree. If you think your being able to hire someone to mow your lawn for $120.00 an hour is worth it, think of this...

From the L.A. Times

1. 40% of all workers in L.A. County ( L.A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card
2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal ali en Mexicans on Medi-Cal , whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican < /SPAN>nationals here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely&n bsp;illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L.A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.
(All 10 of the above statistics are from the Los Angeles Times)

Here's a couple more . . . . .
Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare.
Over 70% of the United States ' annual population growth (and over 90% of California , Florida , and New York ) results from immigration .

29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

We are a bunch of fools for letting this continue. California now faces a 14 billion dollar deficit.
It was estimated that the illegal allien crises costs the state 12 Billion a year in welfare at the time Grey Davis was ousted from office. Guess what? We are still 14 billion in debt. Now, we are expected to close our state parks and let prisoners out early to try and make up for our politicians wasteful spending.

During that same time period, it was also esitmated that 14 billion was wired out of the country by illegal alliens. This is money not being spent in the U.S. and not matter what way you want to look at this, it's money taken out of our economy and a loss of billions in State taxes. The total cost with the 14 billion in welfare is 26 billion a year! Arnold, "The Govenator" promised the first thing he would do is "Open The Books" to find out where the money goes but have we seen him do that? No. Why? Because we all know where the money is going. Corporate welfare. The next time they want to raise your taxes to pay for their foolish and destructive policies, just vote no. The well is dry! If you have the power to just say no to drugs, you have the power to just say no to higher taxes.

First To Condemn, Last To Forgive

I can think of no better example of Political Pornography than the following article. This should be the poster child for this web blog.

The latest news on the "Religious Right" is that they want to select Cardinal Mahony from the Catholic Archdiocese Of Los Angeles to resurrect a fight against the billion dollar Los Angeles Porn Industry calling for a revival of decency laws.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Sorry, had to get that out of my system. Isn't this the same guy that covered up hundreds of child molestation cases within the church and transfered guilty priests to avoid prosecution? This is the guy they are asking to start a new crusade against obscenity? Ok, you got me. Have these people completely lost their minds? Nothing is more obscene that what Mahony did to the victims of these crimes and the man himself should be in jail rather than socializing and being touted by the disgraceful Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa.

Do they think that by demonizing the Porn Industry they can take the attention away from themselves as having damaged more children than Pornography could ever think of doing?
8 thousand effected by their child molestations and they want to be the spokes model for decensy?

I have a long article that I will soon publish regarding the religious and the porn industry. You
don't want to miss this one. Stay tuned.

Shameful Company Of The Month

Circuit City wins the Crystal Ball "Most Shameful Company Of The Month Award",
They sold me a laptop two years ago and talked me into buying the "Replacement Guarantee"
for three years.

Well, the HP laptop went down after two years and I said to myself, "man am I glad I was covered"! That was 06 November 2007 and now it is 05 feb 2008. Three months later and guess what? I still don't have a laptop. Imagine how shocked I was when the manager said to me, "you should be glad you got the coverage because without it, we wouldn't be working on it". I said, "that would all be well and good if you could fix the thing now wouldn't it"? No reply,
just a snarl.

I then dared to ask at what point does the "REPLACEMENT"come into play? I've been back and forth to the store at least 12 times and it's been sent out now for repair two times. Please explain. That's simple he said, it has to be the same problem and sent out more than three times and it doesn't state anywhere that it has to be fixed within a certain amount of time.

They did say that the repair center refused to fix it saying there was nothing wrong with it,
even though the problem was witness by at least 3 Circuit City "Firedog" repairmen including the manager. They decided to order the suspected part and repair it themselves since they had to honor the warranty. After not hearing anything again, my last trip to the store found my laptop under the counter after two weeks untouched and I was assured they would call me and bring it to my house. There was never a call or a delivery.

Buyer beware. Know that they can spend the rest of your life repairing your laptop and there is nothing you can do about it. Never mind that I left town two times thinking it was fixed and couldn't conduct the business I was suppose and wasted thousands in travel expenses.

The next stupid comment always follows and we all know what that is... you should have a backup. If this were true, I would need to buy two of everything I use to conduct business with and that would put me out of business, so save yourself the thought process of coming up with that bright idea. So people, in the future, avoid their warranty scam.

Circuit City, congratulations, you really know how to treat your customers.

kamikaze Economics

The Crystal Ball strikes again!  Finally the financial world has caught up to my predictions! Most agree a recession is here!  Gee, I still wonder how a ordinary guy like me can know this and the "experts" can't see it.  That's why I'm known as the Crystal Ball!

Now, we will hear how it won't last very long.  Lets take a look at the top ten reasons for the Economic Disaster heading our way.  Not even Osama could do this on 9/11 but our corrupt system managed it within a year.

1.   We've got lower interest rates and banks that don't lend.
2.   We have equity values being diminished by "New Rules" from the mortgage Industry wiping out what little is left of home values and drying up investment opportunities.
3.   29.75 percent interest rates on credit cards.
4.   Higher credit scores needed for credit and beyond what is necessary.
5.   $700.00 a month electric bills and $400.00 a month gas bills. Utilities are starting to get more expensive than someone's rent.  Who wants to be a first time buyer?
6.   $800.00 hotel rooms and you still have to pay 28.00 to park your car.
7.   $18.00 BLT's and $15.00 drinks.
8.   $150.00 late payment fees on a $600.00 car payment.  Even bills that aren't late.
9.    Dependancy on foreign oil and one U.S. Oil company raking in 1 billion in profits, driving up the costs.  Damn those Polar bears who have actually doubled in population.
10.  Politicians that want to raise your taxes.  The well is dry!  Stop spending more than you make!

The Governments remedy?  $300.00 rebates!  Now go have a party knowing that when you get over your hangover all will be right again.

Until these facts are addressed, the country will continue the downward spiral similar to that of a Kamikaze Pilot in WW2 and head right for a depression if we aren't already in one.  I believe we are.  Grab on to your gonads and stuff that money under your mattress! Is anybody out there?

Suicide Up For U.S. Military

Another surprising fact for the rocket scientists in Washington. In the last five years, attempted suicide rates have gone from 1 to 5 a day. No where will you see a comparison between the length of tours of duty in Vietnam and the amount of time troops spend in Iraq.

The difference being that during the Vietnam war we had a draft that shifted the responsibility of "service to your country" around to nearly everyone physically fit for duty. One year with your "boots on the ground" was enough unless you volunteeered to go back. Now, because there is no draft (any politician supporting this would be hammered into early retirement) our heroes are required to three sometimes four tours "In Theater". If it wasn't bad enough to serve one year getting shot at and watching your buddies get blown to bits, now they can do it 3 or 4 times to really let that PTSD (Post Tramatic Stress Disorder) sink in to the point where you would like to put the barrel of a gun in your mouth jsut to stop the screaming going on in your head.

Of course they are hard at it in Washington to throw more money into the care of these poor souls. That seems to be the answer for everything in Washington. Throw more money at it. How about we throw more man power at the military to reduce the length of time these heroes are exposed to life worse than hell?

Bring back the draft. Induct all those people on the waiting list that are eligible and want to become citizens. Make them learn English and earn there life in America. maybe they would have more respect for the American way of life if they had to fight for it. Our boys overseas could use the help. Our unprotected borders could use the help. We are at a time of war. Like it or not, soemone has to hold the rifle.

This would all be nice if it were possible but this brings us back to the one thing the U.S. Government never planned. The American people are now segregated into too many subcultures to ever stand up for one cause and that includes the defense of the country. Try and reinstate the draft and see how many people run for the hills. The same thing brought down the Roman Empire. No, contrary to popular belief, it wasn't sex orgies that did it. It was the multi cultural infusion that cut away at the fabric of the Roman culture. It seems history always repeats itself because we have no ability to learn by mistakes whether they be our own or by others.

Military Unready For Homeland Attack

Should we be surprised by this? We are incapable of protecting the borders and inncapable of protecting the country from an attack. We don't have the equipment or man power to protect this nation yet we are out there starting wars we can't finish. Be afraid. Be very affraid. Is there anything the U.S. Government is capable of besides turning us into a Third World Nation? Do you really think Health care is the main issue in the upcoming elections? Do you really think Billary is going to be able to give free health care to everyone in the U.S.? If we don't have the money to protect ourselves from attack (the first thing that should be financed) where are we going to get the trillions of dollars that this will surely cost? You can rest assured, she doesn't know either...

Agent Orange Is Back!

Another story being swept under the rug by the "Mainstream Press". On a more personal note: "Mainstream News" agencies and or so called journalists that have been contacted and elected to ignore this story do far are ABC News, Sean Hannity, and Bill OReilly. I guess Bill is too busy looking out for me to help the Vets and is surprising considering how much they supposedly support the troops. I guess the election of the next Puppet (I mean "President" ) of the United states is much more important than Veteran's dying.

My Brother who is now a Federal Judge in S.C. served in Vietnam from 67 to 68. Two tours. Con Tien Khe Sanh and Da Nang. He was diagnosed with tumors in his bladder. They were removed a few weeks ago and when he went in to start chemo they checked him again to make sure he was fully healed. They found another tumor much bigger and more aggressive. He is going through hell and back fighting this and I'm sure one of the bloodiest battles in the Vietnam War, Con Tien, was the last battle he thought he would ever face.

I immediately thought of Agent Orange although his Doctor says it was from second hand cigarette smoke when we were kids. My Brother never smoked a day in his life, none of the other four of us have it. and we are all near the same age. It looks like they are telling all the other Veterans that are coming up with bladder cancer that do smoke, it's caused by that.

Now he waits six weeks to see if they need to remove his bladder to rebuild it and or replace it with a man made one. The VA is not allowing compensation for Bladder cancer although they allow coverage for prostrate cancer which is much more common in any man even if they aren't exposed to Agent Orange. Also, the bladder is so near the prostrate how can it be possible it wouldn't be effected but the prostrate would? Makes no sense at all. The type of tumors found in my brothers bladder are rare which tells me that it's highly likely that it is associated with his high level of exposure to the chemicals which is also rare. Not many people have been exposed to these levels.

He was the radioman and jumped into a foxhole in Vietnam that a live grenade was thrown into and pulled his radio out under fire. For that he was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery for without that radio his platoon would have been wiped out. He fought for and served his country well and now, when he needs help, the Government has turned their back on him. This is disgusting.

There are enough of these cases on the following web page that warrants further investigation as to why bladder cancer is not associated with Agent Orange. These Veterans all deserve to be treated like heroes and not just swept under the rug.

I have asked all of the people on the web page to send names, phone numbers, dates and where it was they served. The Quang Tri Province was the most heavily sprayed area of Vietnam. It's obvious to me that some cancers take
longer to appear and this sounds like the case with Bladder Cancer.

When Hanoi made the trade agreements with the U.S. both agreed to stop all investigations of Agent Orange related illnesses and drop any further legal issues concerning the birth deformities and deaths of the North Vietnamese people. The fact that we used chemical warfare on North Vietnam has been swept under the rug along with any new illnesses popping up over time that can be directly linked with Agent Orange.

When I first started this research I found this page of Veteran's that suffer from this and it seems to be growing significantly.

Agent Orange: Bladder Cancer
posted by Janice on 04 Sept 2006 at 10:32 am
I have been fighting the VA for almost three years concerning my husband's bladder cancer as being connected to agent orange/dioxide..with repeated denials. He was an infantry soldier with the 82nd Airborne and was in highly concentrated areas of agent orange in Nam. They tell us it was due to his smoking..he quit smoking 20 years ago; however, they will pay compensation for lung cancer due to agent orange/dioxide. I find this a contradiction..smoking caused my husband's bladder cancer, but smoking did not cause a person's lung cancer..agent orange caused that! Does anyone have an opinion on this and have any of you ever been diagnosed with bladder cancer that served in Nam ?

Agent Orange

My comments are directed to Janice who posted a note concerning her husband's bladder cancer and agent orange. My husband we recently diagnosed with bladder cancer. He was operated on in August of this year. His cancer was caused from a large tumor growing and attaching itself to his organs. The doctors have told us that this cancer was caused from chemicals.

My husband was also in Vietnam and exposed to agent orange. He has been through a lot since August, in and out of the hospital 4 times. Next step is chemo and radiation.

I to believe this has been caused from agent orange when he was in Nam.

Several years ago I developed Type 2 diabetes. I was approved for medical treatment thru the VA for that condition. I have now been diagnosed with High Grade Malignant Bladder Tumors (Cancer). I served in Danang, RVN and probably exposed to AO. Years ago, I went thru testing at the VA and was issued a Medical Card with the initials AO listed on it. Anyway, I truly believe all or most of my health problems are a result of my exposure. I am currently in the process of applying for disability.

Agent Orange - Bladder Cancer
posted by Ron on 18 Dec 2006 at 8:28 am
I was diagnosed with bladder cancer 2003. I have had 4 surgeries since. I served in Vietnam in '67.

I haveave been advised by a urologist to have bladder/prostate, nodes removed. 40% disability due to diabetes type II. Also many skin cancers removed (1 malanoma)

Same explanation from VA: smoking must have caused BC.
Question to VA: how about those with BC who never smoked?
Answer: "Must have been second hand". They say "insufficient evidence" for agent orange/bc".

Wouldn't it be simple to ascertain Nam vets vs general public regarding BC?

Bladder Cancer And Vietnam

I served in Vietnam from july '65 to january '67 and was diagnosed with bladder cancer at the age of 55. Unfortunately, I began cigarette smoking upon my return from vietnam. I had been a non-smoker prior to that. I am now in the process of being tested to be put on the agent orange registry. Someone needs to do research to look at the incidence of bladder cancer in Vietnam veterans and the general population.

Bladder Cancer Nam 68-69
posted by Walt on 02 Jan 2007 at 8:01 am
I served in VN '68-'69 with the 25th Infantry Division. Can remember walking through defoliated areas that were like black and white movies. Everthing was dead.

I was Diagnosed with Type II Diabetes in 2001 and the VA approved my claim for compensation.

I was diagnosed with Urinary Bladder Cancer in July of 2006. My bladder, prostate and lymph nodes were removed in August 2006. due to an infection, I have had to undergo more surgery. The Cancer has not come back.

The VA denied my claim for compensation. In their letter of denial, they expressed the viewpoint that if I had had Prostate Cancer 1st and then Bladder Cancer I would be elegible for compensation.

I agree that a study needs to be made of all 1st time Bladder Cancer patients who were exposed to Agent Orange. I personally am going to ask my doctors (non-VA) if they have any information that would be relevant.

I Feel Your Pain!

I served in Vietnam in 66-7. was mostly around the Bong Son area in 2nd .corps.LZ`S ENGLISH ,PONEY, DOG, to name a few. In 2001 I got a mysterious sickness that took me to the emergency room 3 times in one week. They said it was the lining of my stomach, because they didn`t know (.I think.) Anyway, to make a long story short, I lost a lot of weight, since then I got a rash back I have had since in country, that I thought had pased.

Next had to have a tumor removed from my neck, the nerves in the end of my toes and fingers will not let me sleep at night, and now I have stage 4 renal cell cancer. This is just to bring up a few of my problems. No history of cancer in my family.

Just letting you know I feel your pain.
God keep you all!

If a Vietnam veteran sees a private physician due to bladder cancer, why can't the US government ask for this info to be forwarded to them. God knows, the gov't is monitoring everthing else we do.

Agent Orange Related
posted by janice on 09 Feb 2007 at 10:15 am
The va should take your doctors' view. You will need service records also .In the Doctor report ;get your doctor to say this "this bladder cancer was as likely caused from chemicals( agent orange )exposure ,as not." These words mean a lot in getting the Gov.Va to take notice of this....as likely as not...it was likely caused from the agent orange chemical. This is how my husband got approved about 10 years ago.

Autism :agent Orange Related ?
posted by JANICE TURNER on 09 Feb 2007 at 10:24 am
I also believe certain Autism could be related to this chemical. We have a daughter that had seizures for years, she then had a very small tumor removed, gave birth to a beautiful son. He has autism. I am still researching links to this.

My father is going before the VA this friday, February 16, 2007. His claim: Urinary Bladder Cancer caused by chemical exposure. His urologist is more than willing to do anything my father requests. What I need to know is what do we need for this hearing? We do have a letter from the doctor, though it does not read "as likely as not". My father has been battling Tourettes, Depression, Glaucoma, Hearing Loss, Cataracts and Finally UBC. Any information would be a help!

Veteran Lost To Renal Cell

In response to your loss. I lost my husband to renal cell carcinoma not covered under VA list. I had 3 dependent children at the time and no help. I think it's really a sad situation that these men are not recognized. Renal cell is a chemically induced cancer so it seems logical

I Am Saddened And Surprised

As a retired British soldier, I am saddened and surprised that American ex-service people are denied treatment.

Whether or not the illness was caused by their being on active duty is irrelevant. These people put their lives on the line for their nation - why can't their nation give them just a little back - comprehensive healthcare.

This state of affairs would bring the UK to a grinding halt, there would be a nationwide strike and the government would be brought down and never voted in again.

Prostate And Alzheimer's
posted by Maura on 13 Mar 2007 at 10:48 am
My father recently lost his 9 year battle with Alzheimer's disease, which he was diagnosed with at the age of 52.

Whereas his prostate cancer was concerned he received meager compensation for his treatment under a Agent Orange claim.

Hundreds of studies have been dismissed by the VA for admission of guilt for dioxides causing memory loss or early onset Alzheimer's. My father suffered for years and lost his life long before he died. Only to go unrecognized and slighted for serving his country in a war that was misguided and sad.

My mother has been shuffled through the VA system time and time again, this time only to have her claim dismissed when my father died. She'll have one more hearing to speak out on behalf of all of our veterans and the men and women to come who are without proper care.

My father L. Duran served in the Air Force in Vietnam. He died last week (60 years old) of bladder cancer. He was never a smoker and his family does not have any history of bladder or prostate cancer. He was diagnosed in 2000 went thru treatment and a couple years later Prostate cancer was found. Both his bladder and his prostate had to be removed were removed. Doctors continued to check for prostate cancer over the years. Six months ago he started having back and leg pain, 3 months ago they told him his bladder cancer had come back and had spread to his hip and lymph nodes. I truly believe that if it wasnt for Agent Orange, my father would be here with me today! "insufficient evidence" my a**!!

My father recently passed away from bladder cancer. He never smoked and unfortunately was diagnosed with bladder cancer before prostate cancer. He did received benefits from the VA for the prostate cancer but since he was primarily diagnosed with and died from bladder cancer (at the age of 60) the VA has denied my moms attempt to get spousal benefits. If anybody knows anything that could help, would be greatly appreciated because we do believe the cancer was caused from his exposure to Agent Orange when he was proudly serving his country!!!

My husband was also in Vietnam during the Agent Orange usage and he too was diagnosed with bladder cancer over 15 years ago and has multiple surgeries over these years. No bladder cancer in family and doctor stated that usually related to chemical use of some type. He has never been a smoker. We do beleive that this could be related to Agent Orange but it's not on their list of covered illnesses. We are unable to get low cost medical insurance because of this condition and almost in a place where we can't find any insurance.

Prostate Cancer First, Now Bladder Cancer

I was first diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2002, treated and currently receive a disability from VA. In June 2007 I was diagnosed with invasvive bladder cancer. You state in a letter you received from VA that they will award compensation for this bladder cancer if one first had prostate cancer. I fall into this catagory.
I served in Vietnam from April 1966 to Decenber 1967 in Bien Hoa, an area where Agent Orange was repeatly used.
Would you email me a copy of your letter from the VA? my email is: jadehawk@comcast.net
thanks in advance,

Just a note from a service officer for all of you battling with the VA over service connection for bladder cancer. At this time researchers (not just the VA's) do not consider the evidence strong enough to link AO exposure to bladder cancer. However, if your Urologist or Oncologist is willing to write a letter stating that it is "at least as likely as not" that the cancer is AO related, you have a shot. Remember if there is an even split in opinion, the VA is required to give the veteran the benefit of the doubt. Good luck.

Bladder Cancer - Eglin AFB
posted by jk on 13 Jan 2008 at 3:13 pm
I was stationed at Eglin AFB (Hurlburt Field 9), Florida form March 1975 to January 1976, and again to Eglin Main from October 1982 to December 1983.

I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes in October 2004, then Blabber Cancer in August 2005. I just had my 5th bladder surgery December 2006, to extract the cancer. I went through the BCG treatments last year, and still the cancer returns. Before being diagnosed, the doctor I was seeing at the VAMC, had done nothing about the blood in my urine for over 2 years. At the point of diagnosis, I was starting to have renal failure. My wife suggest that I have a lawyer for malpractice, because the doctor should of never let it go on so long. But how do you sue the VA?

I wasn't in Vietnam. I received my exposure in Eglin AFB Florida.

In reading the article by Barbara T. Dreyfuss, http://www.vva.org/veteran/1007/ao_spraying.html, it should be obvious that I am not making up my story. The substance was stored at this facilities.

My story includes, that the airmen at Eglin during the 1970's were reguired to spray this substance to control the weeds around building, hardstands, reventments, igloos, and butler buildings. That we were not given the proper equipment to protect our skin, or lungs. If anyone has insight into my story please email me.

I've applied for Service Connected disability for bladder cancer and diabetes, but was denied. I was denied, because I didn't have evidence of the exposure, nor documentation that showed a relationship between Bladder Cancer and the toxin. I am not a smoker and have never smoked in my life. No-one in my family has had bladder cancer, and from what I've read the only know causes are cigarette smoke and chemicals.

I am hoping that Barbara Dreyfuss' article will help me prove of exposure, but how do I prove the relationship, since so many have not been able to do so, so far. You would think that the VA would at least award me the claim for diabetes, since there a presidence for it.

My heart goes out to everyone, that has served.

Bladder Cancer And Vietnam
posted by Susanne Weston on 24 Jan 2008 at 7:54 am
My husband served with the Mobile Riverine Force in the MeKong delta 1966-68. He has had 3 bladder cancer surgeries and 4 chemo treatments since 2002. He was in heavily deforested areas and in the water continually. He has peripheral neuropathy, Type II Diabetes (the catch-all)and is rated for Melioidosis. He too, has been denied for bladder cancer related to AO.

However, after his last bout of bladder cancer surgery in December, 2007, I began searching for other options. We received a request for records for a C&P exam from our request in 2006. Of course, the records were sent in 2006, but, here we go again. During the time I was getting the records together, I wondered about the Melioidosis connection to bladder cancer. There is considerable evidence in South East Asia and Australia that Melioidosis can cause cancers of the bladder, prostate, pancreas and several other areas, particularly the lungs, with either multiple bouts of pneumonia or cancers.

Because Melioidosis (Glanders Disease) is not known in this country, it is very hard to test for and diagnose. My husband spent years in and out of private hospitals with intense pain, high fevers, and unknown diagnosis until I received a little book I had requested on both AO and Melioidosis. Our private physician said, "This is it!", and began appropriate treatment over a long period and got the disease into remission. Another bout in 2002, in which I had to get information to the physicians again, ultimately revealed his bladder cancer. Find as many sites as you can to research this disease, contracted through soil and water. It is a gram-negative bacteria, pseudomonis pseudomallei(its old name), and I truly believe there are as many Vietnam Vets infected with this killer as there are those affected by AO. If they have been exposed to both, Holy Smokes! Unless someone is right on top of what is happening to the veteran, they're dead, and it all Vietnam service-connected! My husband would have died in 1986 if I had not requested that little book I found advertised in the Vietnam Vet magazine. Very few VA physicians are familiar with Melioidosis, but if your veteran matches any of the symptoms, Push, Push, Push!! Don't let this hidden killer take another veteran's life.

Jobless Rate Worse Than Thought

More rocket scientists at work.... I'm not surprised by the number of job losses registering along with the signs we are in a deep recession. Something I concluded a year ago. I don't have to wait for the "Mainstream Press" acknowledge what I see in my travels.

Let's open the borders so that brick and mortar businesses can use slave labor. Layoff experienced workers for recent college graduates at cheaper wages, export all meaningful employment to foreign countries and ask ourselves why more and more Americans can't find jobs. Another brilliant sign that Washington acts to improve the future of your children.
Yes, they really do care about your children...
